How to get a better business class fare from Nairobi

Updated 1 Nov 2026

Business class from Nairobi is a big purchase, and the price for the same seat can vary a great deal. These are the things that make the most difference.

1. Be flexible by a day or two

Premium fares are priced by demand. Moving a departure by a day, or flying midweek instead of on a Friday or Sunday, can change the fare noticeably. If your dates have any give, tell us the range.

2. Compare non-stop with one stop

A non-stop flight is faster, but one-stop routings through the Gulf, Istanbul or a European hub are often cheaper in business class, and sometimes come with a better seat on the long leg. We price both so you can decide what the time saving is worth.

3. Understand the fare rules before you buy

The cheapest business fare is usually the least flexible. If there is any chance your plans will change, compare the change fee and refund rules, not only the headline price. A slightly more expensive flexible fare can be the cheaper ticket in the end.

4. Think about the whole trip

If you are visiting more than one city, an open-jaw or multi-city ticket can cost less than separate returns. If you are connecting beyond a hub, a through-fare to your final destination is usually cheaper than two tickets and protects you if the first flight is late.

5. Use your miles and upgrades

Add your frequent-flyer number to every booking. If you already hold an economy or premium economy ticket, ask whether a paid upgrade is available: on some fares it costs less than buying business outright.
